Keri Russell is in talks to join Star Wars: Episode IX!

The 42-year-old actress is in early talks with J.J. Abrams, who is writing and directing the movie, according to a new report from Variety on Friday (July 6).

This would be a reunion for the two: they also worked together on Mission: Impossible III in 2006. The role in question “calls for action-heavy fight scenes.”

The production team reportedly met with “several actresses” for the role in past months before settling on Keri. Production is set to begin at the end of July.

John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Adam Driver are all expected to return.
