Xenomania, the songwriting and production house responsible for hits for acts including Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Kylie Minogue and The Saturdays, is previewing a new artist on their roster named Paige Cavell – and we’re bringing you an exclusive first listen!

Paige is part of the new “Xenomania Presents” project, which showcases brand new material and rising artists signed to the production and songwriting house. She’s set to formally make her debut later this summer, but kicking things off on Friday (May 10) with “Predators & Monsters.”

“I am so proud and excited to be a part of ‘Predators & Monsters’ – I can’t wait for the world to hear a song I’ve been dancing to in secret. I love that on the surface this song sounds like a hard-hitting dance track but when you listen a little deeper, a meaningful message is revealed. It represents everyone who is fighting their own predators and monsters, anything that is holding them back, and shows them they can make it through,” said Paige.

New songs are still on the way in the coming weeks, including “Red Is The Way” which also features Paige, as well as “Looking For Love,” which is described as “the greatest unreleased Xenomania record” and “Without You,” co-written with longtime collaborator Miranda Cooper.

“It’s been a long standing ambition to put actual Xenomania records out. To do so now with Paige Cavell and her astonishing voice, singing a song like ‘Predators & Monsters,’ is the best possible to launch what will be the first of many Xenomania recordings,” said founder Brian Higgins.

The hit Broadway musical Waitress will be arriving in Hollywood this week for the latest stop on its national tour and we caught up with the show’s star Desi Oakley to learn more about her!

Here are 10 Fun Facts from Desi:

  • 1. I was born in Kansas and I love visiting my family (niece and nephew!) who still live there.
  • 2. I’ve never broken a bone.
  • 3. I am a proud graduate of the University of Michigan. #goblue
  • 4. I have Lasik surgery. (I had glasses since I was eight so it’s a miracle to see better than 20/20.)
  • 5. I primarily only drink French red wine. (Their fermentation process leaves no residual sugar!) And I’m quite the connoisseur, if I do say so myself.

  • 6. I studied classical piano for over fourteen years, and it’s my main way to compose music. (Find my album on Spotify and iTunes!)

  • 8. I absolutely love yoga. I live for an arm balance and an inversion.
  • 9. I have a crazy addiction to dips. Ranches, cremas, sauces, mayos, and the list goes on. I’ve never met an aioli I didn’t like.
  • 10. My main focus in life is to connect with other humans. Being on the stage is my art, and I’m so lucky to do it for a living. But the connection it brings me to people is the most rewarding part of it all.

Get to Know Broadway’s ‘Frozen’ Actress Patti Murin with These 10 Fun Facts! (Exclusive)

0 10 Fun Facts | Celebrities News | Exclusive | Frozen | Patti Murin No Comments

Opening night has arrived for Frozen: The Broadway Musical and we caught up with the show’s star Patti Murin, who plays Anna, to learn more about her!

The actress is a Broadway vet and you might also know her from her work on Chicago Med opposite husband Colin Donnell.

Here are 10 Fun Facts about Patti:

  • 1. I’m allergic to apples and carrots, and whenever I kiss someone who has recently eaten them, my face blows up with hives. So my husband and anyone I have to kiss onstage aren’t allowed to eat them.
  • 2. I can do long division in my head.
  • 3. I started cheerleading in 8th grade and chose to do that instead of auditioning for the school musical. I kept cheering through high school and even at Syracuse University for a bit. It came in handy when one of the musicals I starred in on Broadway, Lysistrata Jones, was about cheerleaders.
  • 4. I’m a voracious reader and regularly read a book per day. I’m currently recommending one book a day via my Twitter account (@pattimurin) to encourage others to read more. Join in the fun at #PattiReadsBooks!
  • 5. The playlist I have on repeat as I get ready for Frozen is basically just Beyoncé, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, and Sara Bareilles. Their music inspires me almost as much as their spirits do.

  • 6. My husband, Colin Donnell, and I had known each other for 7 years before we started dating. I never thought of him romantically before that, and somehow I didn’t realize he was a terribly attractive man until the first time we kissed. I’m still trying to figure out how I missed that very obvious fact.
  • 7. We have two dogs, Petey and Milo, but my real dream is to own a rescue/foster farm where I can actively help save the lives of as many puppies and dogs as possible.
  • 8. Office supply stores are my happy place.
  • 9. Pretty sure I could drink ranch dressing straight from the bottle.
  • 10. I’m obsessed with goats. If anyone can find me a baby goat to snuggle with, I will love you forever.
